About Anagrammio
A fast, thorough anagram solver in five languages, built on public data and with no tracking.
What the Site Does
Anagrammio finds every word and every first name made of exactly the same letters. Each word in the dictionary has its own page, with its anagrams, the words one letter away and, for first names, births year by year.
The English dictionary holds 239,364 common words, and 76,757 of them have at least one anagram. The site also runs in French, German, Spanish and Italian.
Where the Data Comes From
Words come from Wiktionary and openly licensed word lists. First names come from each country's official records, the Social Security Administration for the United States. The Sources page lists every file, its edition and its licence.
No text is generated to fill pages. The examples quoted are checked against the database at every update, and they drop out if a word is no longer there.
Who Runs the Site
Anagrammio is published by BIGBANG MÉDIA, a company based in Laval, France, and run by Guillaume Fleury. The site is hosted in France by o2switch.
What the Site Does Not Do
No cookies, no analytics and no ads. The words you search for are not kept anywhere.
No account to create either. The solver, the daily game and the studies are free to use.
The Browser Extensions
Extensions for Chrome, Edge and Firefox bring the solver offline, with a bubble on any word you right-click, plus an anagram name generator. A Google Docs add-on does the same inside your documents.
